RISK MANAGEMENT

Phil uses "risk management" to help identify, evaluate and forecast uncertain financial risks to avoid or minimize the impact of economic contractions or recessions.

Once risks are identified, the consequences of the risk must be assessed as to their potential severity of impact on the financial markets and the resulting investment opportunities from economic expansions or reduction of economic uncertainty.

Risks are frequently re-assessed on an ongoing basis to help reduce or avoid market corrections. Historical asset valuation in relation to company earnings in the context of current economic growth are also evaluated. Phil also studies and examines market cycles, business cycles and economic cycles in his analysis of risk management.Tax law changes and their potential economic impact on company earnings and individual savings are evaluated in determining risk. Included in Phil's analysis is the study of rising inflation and interest rates and their potential market impact. Even a short term economic downturn can result in a long term negative financial impact on one's investments.

The goal of Mr. McWilliams' risk management is to protect his clients' assets and to take advantage of investment opportunities resulting from these economic and financial threats.
